Finance Manager

Our client, a Greek pharmaceutical company, is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join their team here in Malta, reporting to the Group CFO and Group Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all finance and accounting activities.
• Coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
• Assist in the timely publication of monthly financial reports.
• Manage cash flow operations.
• Coordinate audits and prepare regulatory reports.
• Participate in generating regular financial management reports.
• Provide support and review month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and reporting.
• Manage compliance with local government reporting and tax filing requirements.
• Enhance accounting processes and procedures to boost efficiency and accuracy, while documenting policies to maintain internal controls.
• Offer guidance and assistance to financial staff.
• Delegate tasks effectively, leveraging team members' strengths.
• Explore opportunities for automating financial processes.
• Assist with additional tasks as directed by the Senior Manager.
• Perform any other duties as necessary.

• Fully qualified accountant or at final stages of obtaining an accounting qualification
• Able to work independentely
• At least 3 years of experience in similar position.
• Manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience will be considered an asset
• Profiicency in Microsoft Excel or other accounting systems
